Deep Treed Wide LotsWalk to the Lake and Port Credit

When we are looking at the area south of the QE from Erin Mills Parkway all the way east to the the Etobicoke border, we see an extensively treed established residential area, and from west to east, they comprise the neighbourhoods of Clarkson/Lorne Park, Lorne Park, Mineola West, Mineola East, and then Cawthra Park and Orchard Heights.   One could say, to generalize a bit, that the most expensive area is Mineola West, and then Lorne Park and Mineola East are slightly less expensive and a bit less developed.  Mineola West is separated from Mineola East by Hurontario Street.  Both areas have the magnificent treed settings on large lots, and both areas have extensive construction of handsome large homes.  Mineola East homes for sale  still offer some of the orginal bungalows for sale, which are often valued for the land and the building lot potential of the site. 
Often it is impossible to tell with area you are in East or West,  and as time goes on , I assume that the neighbourhoods will share the same status as prime elite enclaves of fine homes, as they already do!  What a pleasure it is to stroll down their lush canopied streets.   And to think all of this is a ten to fifteen minute walk from the lake, the river and harbour, and all of the interesting shops of the Village of Port Credit!

When looking for the very best in luxury real estate and the most prestigeous neighbourhoods, there are certain names that come to mind in the GTA.  We immediately think of Forest Hill, Rosedale, The Bridlepath, and in the same league with these names, in Missisauga, we think of the Mineola neighbourhoods of Port Credit, Doulton Drive, Lorne Park, ect.  Located just north of the Village of Port Credit with all of its charm, shopping, parks, and the wonderful harbour and lakefront, Mineola West extends from the Credit River to Hurontario Street, and then from the QE south to the Lake.  Actually, Mineola West is just east of Lorne Park, on the other side of the Credit River.  When you hear about Mineola East, that is just an extension of the same area on the east side of Hurontario Street.   This is a central location, close to the Go Train and QE, but with a definate feel of country estate living!  It is truly an area that offers so much variety, and yet is private and peaceful.  Magificent Mineola West!

Walk to Go in Port Credit

I have alway loved this townhouse develepment in Port Credit!  It’s Craigie Orchards, at 20 Mineola Road East, and you couldn’t find a better location, well, you could, but the price would be much more!  
This treed development has been around for about 30 years now, and you can see that from the size of the trees and the gorgeous grounds!  You know, for the price, it’s still a real deal.  Here we are just walking distance from the Port Credit Go Station,  in Port Credit, one of the most desirable places to live west of Toronto, and smack in the middle of Mineola East, where the property values are going up monthly!  This is an area of intensive new construction, the older homes being torn down for larger handsome structures.  I have a short, very short, video included here of the development.  I really do want to stress that the prices here in the $375 to $420k range are still very reasonable for this location!
(I apoligize for the shortness of this video, but it does give you an idea of the beautiful park like setting).
