Interesting Modern Styles

I can remember when I first saw the land where Churchill Meadows is open up for construction, and I thought, “the lots are too small, they didn’t leave enough space between the homes!”  I was worried everything would be too conjusted, and that the are didn’t have enough parkland.  I was comparing the area to the older areas of Meadowvale Homes, but I realize now that every area has its pros and cons. 

Actually, what I see now, is an area of far more diverse styles of construction and architecture, and enough green space so as off set all of the buildings.  It’s  nice subdivision, and the owners have done plenty of landscaping so as to make the street spaces pretty and varied!  Even on the main streets I am amazed at the creativity of all of the designs!  This is really interesting, so many more styles than the older areas, and so much more use of different construction materials as well!  So,  this is Churchill Meadows, west of Winston Churhill Blvd. from Eglington to Britannia, still being built, and looking fresh and polished!

I resently sold a house in Miller’s Grove.  The area has changed alot since my Dad and I bought 2 homes there to flip (like everyone else was doing at the time), back in the mad price increases of the mid 80′s.  Then the area north of Britannia Road and west of Erin Mills Parkway, north to the 401, was just a sea of new homes in a treeless desert.  Today the area is fully mature, with plenty of parkettes and bike paths.  My video will tell more and show you the house styles.  So, if you want that 25 year old mature area close to the 401, but in Mississauga, this may be it!  Meadowvale offers the old world charm of downtown Streetsville with its 50 to 100 year old neighbourhoods, and also brand new areas just under construction closer to Nineth Line, further to the west.   But Miller’s Grove offers alot of traditonal models, no semi detached homes at all, and lots of smaller homes including bungalows with single car garages which are not easy to find elsewhere for the price.

Sheridan Homelands Streets

Tree Lined Streets in Sheridan Homelands

I just love this area of mature homes on large lots.  This is the neighbourhood that I suggest to people who wanted to live in Clarkson/Lorne Park, but perhaps they couldn’t find anything in their price range, or else perfer to live north of the QE.  Most of the homes for sale in Sheridan Homelands are detached homes on large treed lots.  There are a couple of streets of semis, which are also very roomy with lovely lots, and there are a couple of condo townhouse developments.  You can often tell a home in the orginial parts of Sheridan Homelands due to their style and building materials.  The builder used alot of aluminum siding at the time of construction, along with the usual brick.  The styles are 2 storey, sidesplit, backsplits, and bungalows.  The newer construction that has taken place in mainly along Fifth Line in this area, and features more modern detached homes, and some more luxurious condo townhouses.  The neighbourhood has a large green centre to it, Thornlodge Park, with pool and tennis courts.  This is a great family neighbourhood with a unique look and feel to it, a bit different from the Erin Mills homes just to the north of Dundas Street.

I want to bring your attention to a gorgeous home I have for sale at Postmaster and Third Line in Oakville, and the reason this is important is because that I just reduced the price this morning to $439,900!

This property is drop dead gorgeous,  and it is extremely well priced!    I originally listed this house a couple of weeks ago at $469,900.  This new price is bang on!
